Welcome back to What’s In My Shopping Cart! With spring almost upon us (thank God because I couldn’t deal with winter anymore) it's time to bust out those wide-brim hats and soak in all the sun and beautiful weather! Linking below some of my favorite hats for spring (but these can definitely be used year-round).
The first post in a series I’ve been anxious to start: “IN MY SHOPPING CART.” I’m an avid online shopper and always have at least 5 tabs open at once on my favorite online stores. I’m so excited to start sharing this major part of my life (LOL) with you all. So sit back, get your PayPal trigger finger ready, and let’s shop!
One of our favorite things to do when the weather isn’t delicious is rummage through antique stores. We don’t always find things to bring home, but we almost always find things to fall in love with! This past weekend we visited one of our favorite ones here in Vegas, which also happens to be a great place for impromptu photo shoots! It seemed fitting enough, since I was dressed up in some of my new vintage gear, courtesy of Ragstock.
A few weeks ago, one of my good ‘gram-friends contacted me asking if I’d help model some of her thrifted finds. It totally reminded me that she runs her own side hustle of scouring the racks at different thrift stores, showing them styled in a way you wouldn’t have thought, and selling them on her IG business page. I was all for it, and put her up to the challenge of finding me one-of-a-kind pieces that fit my style and favorite color palette (warm and orange). Not only did she deliver, but I actually fell in love with every piece she sent me.
Have I been living under a rock? Why have I never owned a pair of over-the-knee boots? I recently got myself a pair of Restricted OTK boots and it was like the clouds separated, a light shined down on me, and welcomed me into some secret club that I’ve always wanted to be a part of. Read on for my full review on these boots!
Ladies, it’s time to get real on here. I know I’m not the only woman in the world who absolutely hates bra shopping. It’s uncomfortable, time-consuming, and always ends up being a disappointment. Everywhere I go, I get measured and strangely end up with a different size. (Seriously?!) By the time it’s all over, I’m let down with my choices, and what I thought felt fine in the fitting room ends up being a literal pain after wearing it all day. So what’s a girl to do? Luckily, I was approached by the sweethearts behind True&Co and challenged to give their bras a try. Read on for my results!
Imagine if you could order the items you wanted in multiple sizes, not pay a dime, and only get charged if you decide to keep them? No, I’m not talking about a subscription box. I’m talking about you shopping on your favorite online retail sites, picking out things you love (not some stylist who has never even met you!), trying everything on at home, keeping what you love, and returning what you don’t. And only getting charged for what you keep! Friends, say hello to Try.com - your new shopping bff.
Sean and I drove out to Mt. Charleston to catch the sun just before it was starting to set behind the mountains. I found these beautiful yellow flowers to pick, and then we started creating magic. It wasn’t until later that I realized how much this dress made me look like a boho bride. OH WELL. Who doesn’t want to relive their wedding day in the mountains?
Just wanted to share my favorites (which were so hard to narrow down) from this dreamy shoot with all of you! Hope you enjoy!
Most weekends we’re slammed with work, but this past one we just hung out at home. And I’m not complaining one bit. It was nice to just lounge around, listening to records, and spending quality time together. Wanted to share these snapshots Sean caught with you all. Click below for full outfit details!
Last weekend, Sean and I were able to cross another location off of our travel list: Joshua Tree. We spent two quiet days tucked away in the desert, and focused on enjoying each other while creating beautiful content. In this post, I’m sharing the two essential pieces I packed for our quick getaway. Click below to read more!
Sean and I woke up early to play tourist on the Las Vegas Strip. It's honestly one of my favorite things to do on a lazy day and the earlier you get out there, the better your chances of getting epic shots without a bunch of people standing in your way. We made it out to this beautiful spot overlooking the New York, New York casino. The lighting was just perfect and it was completely dead out there! I really wanted the opportunity to show off this gorgeous Free People dress (the Collette Mini) that I picked up at Nordstrom Rack (my second home). Click below to read more!
As I’ve mentioned before, being a Las Vegas native is my pride and joy. Throughout the years, I’ve seen so much in this city change, but some of spots remain constant. Sean and I actually enjoy spending our weekends seeking out fun locations to shoot at, and I’ve decided to start documenting these spots in a series. So here’s the first stop on our “Hidden Gems” tour! Click below to read more!
I have been getting a lot of messages from you ladies asking me for some photo advice, so I decided to write a post sharing some of my tips and tricks for taking better Instagram photos! Click below to read more!
Before starting a blog, I spent a lot of time following other bloggers. Whenever they’d post a photo, I remember thinking how easy it looked. Just wear something cute, stand in front of something and have your picture taken. Perfect every time, right? WRONG. Sure, it’s easy to find something cute to wear. But finding a good spot? A nice backdrop? Something that ISN’T your garage door? It can get real tricky, real fast. Click below to read more!
In today’s post, I’ll be rounding up some red, white, and blue styles for this year’s holiday! These looks can all easily be dressed up or down depending on how you’ll be celebrating the evening. Click below to read more!
