You already know that I live in the desert, which can wreak havoc on my processed hair. Add festival season and excessive styling to that, and we have a dry, brittle disaster! Recently, Pantene released their new Intense Rescue Shots, and I knew I had to try it out on my post-festival hair. Read on to see how I used the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots to save my gorgeous locks from all the crazy festival and weather damage!

Just because I didn't attend a festival this season doesn't mean that I wasn't living vicariously through everyone who did! To avoid major FOMO, I still spent the weekend dressing up Coachella-style, including getting my hair done. This year I wanted to go for big braids and space buns (because I'm just extra like that). Although it was the cutest hair EVER and I felt like a literal Festival Queen, I knew my damaged hair was going to absolutely hate me afterwards.

When to Use Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots

To repair this post-festival hair, cue the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots – The #1 selling new treatment in the haircare category and Pantene's first at-home repair treatment. Color-treated, over-processed, and heat-styled hair can leave your ends feeling brittle and dry, which is a huge no-no in my book. This treatment was formulated with women like me in mind – you know, the ones who are addicted to our hair dye and curling irons!

After the festival madness, I paired my Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots with Pantene's Repair & Protect Shampoo. Once I stepped out of the shower and went to comb my hair, I could instantly see and feel the difference it had made on my damaged locks.

Noticeable Results

I usually can't even run my fingers through my hair right after a shower, but the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots left it feeling softer, easier to brush through, and WAY less tangled! I couldn't believe how soft it was!

The best part of it all was that my hair didn't feel weighed down or heavy, like how it does when I use some of my other masks or treatments. These Intense Rescue Shots absorb into your hair instead of just sitting on top and coating it.

I love how healthy my hair looked, but more importantly, I love how healthy it felt.

How to Use Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots

The single-dose tubes can be used weekly in place of your regular conditioner. While you're in the shower, apply the product generously from root-to-tip. Be sure to target areas that see the most damage. I applied a little extra to my ends, because that's where my hair felt most damaged. You don't have to be nervous about applying too much – use the entire tube! Let it all sit in your hair for 30 seconds. Rinse for 30 seconds! (But don't over-rinse, you want to make sure the nutrients are still locked in place.)

THAT'S IT! Seriously, how easy is that? It's basically an at-home treatment that I can use between my salon visits, and I love the fact that it takes only a minute from start-to-finish. (Because let's face it, I might as well be president of the Lazy Girls Club!) Did you know that Pantene is the official haircare sponsor for Coachella, Stagecoach and Firefly this year? Try these Intense Rescue Shots yourself, available at Walmart!
